selected species and the number of countries into which they have been
introduced. The second name on the list is a North American crayfish that has
been introduced in Europe and causing problems there. Introductions are a two-way street.
Largemouth bass have been intentionally introduced in Asia and are viewed
like we view the common carp here. I believe also that the Caspian Sea is
home to many North American species, but they are mostly from ballast water.
