Throw trap

Method:

A 1 m2 throw trap with 3-mm mesh walls is used. Nekton is removed using a 1 m X 0.5 m dip net that fits snugly inside the trap. The net mesh is 1 mm. The trap is swept with the net until three consecutive sweeps return no organisms or if the first four dips come up empty.
