This Rapid Assessment used scrapers, grabs and a custom benthic sled to sample benthos, as well as plankton nets to sample the water column.

A custom-made benthic sled was fitted with 1 mm stainless steel mesh walls. This sampler was thrown out on a line and retrieved my dragging along the bottom. This sampler collected larger organisms than the Eckman grab.
