This Rapid Assessment used scrapers, grabs and a custom benthic sled to sample benthos, as well as plankton nets to sample the water column.

Dock-fouling organisms were sampled with a variety of simple manual techniques. Tools included hand scrapers, sieves, a long-handled scraper with a fine steel mesh net, and a long-handled net with 1 mm mesh.
