Impact Description | More recent data from 2011 indicates that Renibacterium salmoninarum has become more widely distributed with varying prevalence throughout Michigan state hatcheries and wild populations. The bacterium was detected in brook trout at 1.7% to 54% prevalence; Atlantic salmon 1.7% to 50%; muskellunge, lake sturgeon, and channel catfish at 1.7% to 10%; and lake trout, splake, and lake herring at 1.7% to 5% prevalence. |
