| Impact Description | Salix purpurea has the ability to produce dense stands in floodplains and other favorable habitats. Because most native willows are much smaller in stature than the crack willows, and because most willows are not very shade-tolerant, it seems likely that crack willows would tend to overtop and displace native willows. |
