Impact DescriptionIn lakes invaded by Bythotrephes longimanus, mercury bioaccumulation in Coregonus artedi, which are known to prey upon the spiny waterflea, changed from historical values before the introduction. In some lakes, there was an increase in mercury bioaccumulation in cisco, while in others a decrease in bioaccumulation of mercury in cisco populations.
