CommentsInitial year 2020. The property owner participated in a 2018 Virginia Tech Extension Watershed Stewards pond management advice program. As part of the program, a Steward visited the pond during the growing season (May to early November 2018) and identified all weeds present in the water, and Trapa was not seen. In October 2021, the owner responded to a general inquiry to say that Trapa had appeared in their pond 15 months ago and they have been pulling it ever since. Nancy Rybicki visited the pond on 11/16/2021 and confirmed the species.
