Impact DescriptionP. australis sediments have higher denitrification rates than sediments with native plants or unvegetated areas. Sediments also had higher SOM which was weakly correlated with N2 flux. P. australis increased denitrification with spring N2 loading. It also had higher rates after hurricane Florence which was not observed by native species which were higher than ambient or enriched tests. Potential value of this service is $266-$426 ha-1 yr-1.
