Impact Description | The introductions of Nitokra hibernica and its nonindigenous congener Nitokra incerta are very likely responsible for the introduction of the suctorian ciliate Acineta nitocrae to Lake Erie (by N. hibernica) and the Detroit River (by N. incerta). Acineta nitocrae is known to be epizooic on these two copepods in the Ukraine. |
