Impact DescriptionWalking catfish are voracious, opportunistic feeders. Stomach contents of 64 specimens yielded 35 per cent insect carapaces (Haliplus sp., dytiscid beetles, mayflies, dragonflies, other beetles), 18 per cent fish (Fundulus, Gambusia, and Lepornis were most common), and 10 per cent plant material (Marianne C. Porter, pers. comm.). x 3 per type
