Impact DescriptionHigh-throughput sequencing analysis of gut contents indicated that silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) will rely on phytoplankton in both a mesotrophic and a eutrophic lake. The most abundant classes in gut contents samples were Chlorophyceae, Scenedesmaccae, Chroococcales, and Chlorellaceae.
