| Comments | dense patches; weather partly cloudy to overcast, surface water temp 24 C. Collected frequency and biomass samples on Aug 8 - 9, 2011 as part of flowering rush control study. Flowering rush growth dense at north end of lake. Water clear. Control areas with places of bare sediment, but dense native plants with scattered flowering rush. Pete said water near bottom at south end very cold. Saw freshwater sponges, eagles. |
