CommentsFirst discovery in the U.S. They are numerous in an area measuring approximately 9X4 meters, most of it shaded. Flowering stems are present only at the edge of the population, where abundant light is available. Companion plants include Quercus velutina Lam., Baccharis halimifolia L., Viburnum dentatum L., Parthenocissus quinquefolia (L.) Planch., Euthamia graminifolia (L.) Nutt., Solidago sempervirens L. and the exotic Celastrus orbiculatus Thunb.
