Size: 8.4 cm.
Native Range: Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plains from southern Virginia to Ochlockonee River, Georgia and Florida; south in Florida to Lake Okeechobee (Page and Burr 1991).

Means of Introduction: Probable bait-bucket release (Gilbert 1987; Gilbert and J. D. Williams, personal communication).
Status: Reported in Florida.
Impact of Introduction: The impacts of this species are currently unknown, as no studies have been done to determine how it has affected ecosystems in the invaded range. The absence of data does not equate to lack of effects. It does, however, mean that research is required to evaluate effects before conclusions can be made.
