Impact DescriptionDuring mesocosm experiments, F. rusticus reduced the abundance of the native snail species Lymnaea stagnalis; when F. rusticus co-occured with Cipangopaludina chinensis (the Chinese mysterysnail), Lymnaea stagnalis was extirpated from the mesocosm.
