Impact DescriptionIn a Florida retention pond experiment, native Scaphiopus holbrooki (Eastern Spadefoot Toad, 60% mortality), Lithobates sphenocephalus (Southern Leopard Frog; 90% mortality), Dryophytes cinerea (Green Tree Frog, 100% mortality), and Anaxyrus terrestris (Southern Toad, 20% mortality) tadpoles experienced variable from eating Cane Toad eggs. Invasive Osteopilus septentrionalis (Cuban Tree Frog) tadpoles experienced 30% mortality from eating Rhinella marina eggs.
