Impact Description | Planigale maculata (Common or Pygmy Planigale) showed taste aversion learning towards consumption of Rhinella marina and so avoided eating them. Naïve Planigale maculata, however, showed morbidity and mortality from Rhinella marina consumption, while Planigale maculata from a population that had been sympatric with Rhinella marina for over 60 years showed taste aversion suggesting behavioral adaptation to Rhinella marina. |
