Impact DescriptionNeogobius melanostomus has contributed substantially to Smallmouth Bass (Micropterus dolomieu) diets. First noted in smallmouth bass diets from the central basin of Lake Erie in 1996, round gobies occurred in stomachs of 100% of the smallmouth bass sampled in 2003.
