Impact DescriptionBlack Acara in the aquarium trade in California tested positive for Mycobacterium simiae, M. chelonae abscessus, and M. fortuitum. These bacteria cause a systemic disease in fishes and can also cause external skin ulcers and diffuse pulmonary disease in humans.
