Impact Description | In in-situ enclosure experiments Mayan Cichlids consumed more prey and more varied prey (Flagfish, Bluefin Killifish, and Riverine Grass Shrimp) than did African Jewelfish (only Flagfish). Mayan Cichlids and Jewelfish did not facilitate or hinder one another in foraging, but agonistic behavior among Jewelfish reduced foraging efficiency of this species. |
