| Impact Description | In pond trials in Puerto Rico, Butterfly Peacock Bass fingerlings grew more slowly and had lower survival in ponds with Largemouth Bass than in single species ponds, while Largemouth Bass fingerlings grew more quickly and had lower mortality in mixed species ponds than in single species ponds. Largemouth Bass spawn earlier in the year than Peacock Bass, hence they were larger at time of stocking which may have contributed to enhanced predation or competition ability. |
