Impact DescriptionJuvenile Largemouth Bass ate Odonate nymphs, dipteran larvae and pupae, and nematodes, while juvenile Blue Tilapia ate primarily vegetable matter and detritus, but also consumed dipteran larvae and pupae. Blue Tilapia consumption of dipteran larvae and pupae was correlated with decreased consumption of this food source by Largemouth Bass.
