Impact DescriptionThis study examined the prevalence of Giardia sp. infection in nuisance Beaver (Castor canadensis) and Nutria (Myocastor coypus) in east Texas. Fecal samples were examined for the occurrence of Giardia sp. cysts. Twenty Myocastor coypus (66.7%) were found to be positive for Giardia sp.
