Impact DescriptionNeogobius melanostomus may have forced mottled sculpins (Cottus bairdi) deeper, exposing eggs and young of the year to predation by native fishes and Neogobius melanostomus, which may be an important factor in the decline of mottled sculpin populations in the St. Clair River.
