Impact DescriptionThis competitive interaction would be most intense at small sizes, since both species are benthivorous at sizes up to around 60 mm; at larger sizes round gobies eat mainly mollusks. In addition, round gobies have a reactive distance to Daphnia equal to or better than mottled sculpins.
