Impact DescriptionFollowing the invasion of Bythotrephes in Harp Lake in 1993, changes in species composition and size distribution of zooplankton communities was noted. Larger species like Diamesa mendotae and Holopedium gibberum increased in abundance and smaller species like Bosmina longirostris, Diaphanosoma birgei, Tropocyclops extensus,and Chydorus sphaericus declined dramatically.
