Impact DescriptionRound goby (Neogobius melanostomus) did not show any signs of water quality degradation at sites sampled in Slovakia, no parameters exceeded values acceptable for life and fish reproduction. Parameters examined were biochemical oxygen demand, pH, phosphorus, nitrogen, and phosphate. Most important predictors of round goby presence/absence in Slovakia: wetted width, slope, temperature, conductivity, and altitude.
