Impact DescriptionAnalysis of long-term fish monitoring programs indicate that the body condition and catch-per-unit-effort (CPUE) of gizzard shad and bigmouth buffalo is inversely related population sizes of silver carp (Hypophthalmichys molitrix). This study is further evidence that silver carp suppress other planktivores by consuming zooplankton.
