Impact DescriptionLimnoperna fortunei fouling has caused damage to the infrastructure in Japan. Observed instances of damage include L. fortunei clogging sampling pipelines for water quality monitoring, pipes of conveyance pumps, and cooling pipes in a hydraulic power plant.
