Impact DescriptionChanna argus possesses commercial importance in both native and introduced ranges. It is not only the most important snakehead cultured in China (with most culture activities centered in the Yangtze basin), but it also became commercially valuable in the deltaic area of Syr Darya after its introduction and subsequent naturalization.
