Impact DescriptionIn 1994, about 10 km2 of Dianchi Lake in the Yunnan Province of China was completely covered by dense mats of Eichhornia crassipes. The rapid spread of this weed has resulted in declines in native aquatic plants and threats to local biodiversity.
