Impact DescriptionButomus umbellatus infestations could also result in increased water temperatures and altered nutrient flows and/or sedimentation rates. Flowering rush has resulted in the complete obstruction of open water, reduced water flow, and increased sedimentation in Montana and southwest Idaho.
