Impact DescriptionIn the past, Cipangopaludina japonica has been caught in large numbers by commercial fishermen in Sandusky Bay, Lake Erie, where two tons catches have sometimes been reported in one seine haul. It could become a similar nuisance in other areas with dense populations.
