Impact DescriptionTypha angustifolia emerges earlier in the spring and grows more rapidly and taller than Typha latifolia, often giving it the competitive advantage in areas where the two species coexist. In test areas, T. angustifolia slowly replaces T. latifolia, except in very shallow water.
