Impact DescriptionLimnoperna fortunei shells can be a cost effective alternative for the extraction of organic contaminants in solid matrices such as sediment, food, and biological samples. Results suggest mussel shell is effective and less expensive than traditional materials used for the extraction of pesticides, pharmaceutical, and personal care product contaminants.
