Impact DescriptionIn Mwea, Kenya, infestations of Pomacea canaliculata in rice crops has caused a 0.5% reduction in rice yield for every 10% increase in cultivated area affected by Pomacea canaliculata infestations. Comparing unaffected rice farms to those infested with Pomacea canaliculata, rice farms with at least a moderate level of infestation suffered a 14% reduction in rice yield.
