Impact DescriptionFaxonius rusticus is more likely to compete with juvenile gamefish for benthic invertebrate prey than native species of crayfish. Enclosure experiments in Wisconsin suggest that F. rusticus impacts invertebrate community composition and abundance, invertebrates are an important food resource for juvenile gamefish.
