Comments | Cloudy, showers, breeze. Conditions not ideal for finding submersed plants. Canoed around the shore and up the canal toward Little Lake as far as we could with Shirley Post (lake resident). Little Lake and Crystal Lake are separated by a nice wetland with a dug canal joining them. Water of Crystal Lake is tea colored from tanins. Plant community not dense, diverse. Only weeds of concern observed were yellow flag iris along much of the shore and fragrant waterlily. Purple loosestrife also reported. |
