Comments"The University of New Mexico Duck Pond has dozens of red-eared sliders, a few softshell turtles, and at least 2 snapping turtles. I observed the adult yellow-bellied slider while it was basking in the late afternoon. I have visited the Duck Pond 3-4 days per week, and this is the only individual I have ever observed. I have observed it on multiple occasions..."
