Comments | We came across the empty shells (no live specimens) along the edge of the large lake in Texas Hollow State Forest, just off the Finger Lakes Trail. We found them along the lake edge, both in the water and on the shore. None of the ones we saw were alive, but it was also still pretty cold out. From the number of shells we saw (at least 10 large shells in 10 minutes), there seems to be a lot of them. NY-432378U |
