CommentsLakeshore residents reported abundant submersed vegetation to MnDNR due to concerns about problems for access to the lake. Staff from the Section of Fisheries inspected the lake and collected samples due to questions about the identity of the plant. Samples were sent to the Lake Habitat Program in Brainerd, from which they were forwarded to Dr. Ken Karol, NY Botanic Garden. This is the first known occurrence of this plant in Minnesota; EDDMapS report
