CommentsEmail from Chris Hobson. The snail was first reported by graduate students of Carl Ernst at George Mason University who were conducting an inventory of certain taxonomic groups at Fort Belvoir. They are present in large numbers in this creek system and are believed to have been introduced by an aquarium water discard. (Hobson); may be a subspecies (C. c. malleata).
