| Comments | From Drew Lohrer's email: Carcinus maenas found at most of the sites (Millstone Point, Bluff Point, specifics not noted). Green crabs have declined in rocky intertidal habitats coincident with Hemigrapsus sanguineus invasion. Nevertheless, green crabs still widely abundant in shallow, soft-sediment habitats, particularly when those habitats have scattered boulders or algal clumps. |
