CommentsDensity in early July was very low (<10% of summer 1998 densities). However, population consisted of parthenogenetic females (many fecund/up to 12 eggs/individual). Dr. Joe Makarewicz (SUNY Brockport) reported C. pengoi densiites of 600 ind/m3 in L. Ontario in Aug. 99. Late summer densities exceeded 1500 ind. m3 in the lake.
