CommentsThis species is considered introduced (Burch 1975b; Clarke 1973), but fossil records from Idaho & Alberta (Herrington 1962) suggest it may be indigenous to N. America. Most common in Great Lakes and St. Lawrence drainage basins; in large rivers (Ottawa River, St. Lawrence River).
