CommentsBryazoan colonies have been growing on and around our dock for 30+ years. This year the colonies were late. I'm not sure why, the summer was warmer this year. The colonies were not as widespread as other years. We had a cluster of big ones (1-2ft in diameter) attached to some rope trailing off the dock. The ones on the rope were all at least 6-12in deep. In the past they have typically been on the surface. In past years, they are all over; attached to logs, sticks, etc.
