CommentsGreatest concentrations observed near the western tip of Cat Island. High concentrations also noted north and south of Cat Island and south of Ship Island into Dog Keys Pass. Salinity and temperature south of Cat Island at time of collections - 34 ppt and 32C. Salinity and temperature north of Ship Island - 27 ppt and 31.2C. Bell diameters of specimens ranged from 80-410 mm.
