CommentsThree plantings of this species have been made in Hawaii. For the first, in 1876, from the California Fish Commission, we have no record concerning either the number or the places stocked. A second planting of 1,000 at Waimea, Kauai was made in 1894, and a third of 12 fish at Wailuku, Hawaii in 1896. Fish for the last two plantings were also from the California Fish and Game.
