CommentsFirst discovered in the Hawaiian Islands in a sump at Haleiwa in 1989 and then in Wahiawa Reservoir (Lake Wilson), Oahu in 1991. The population in Wahiawa Reservoir has grown large. Populations are also established in Ho'omaluhia Reservoir and quarry onds at Mokuleia and Honolulu on Oahu.
